Race will recommence at 18:00 from Mid camp at Tintaldra

Teams gathered in the hall this morning to eagerly hear the weather forecast and details on when the race would recommence. The hall has a not so lovely aroma with many teams choosing to sleep inside and not risk the weather in the tents. Some teams got in quick and got an onsite cabin at the caravan park or a bed at Bett's B&B.

The weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow is still for snow in the area down to 1500m but this should be easing tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday is easing but then will get a turn worse again later in the week.

The race will recommence at 18:00 from Tintaldra continuing as per the course with teams going out onto the mountain bikes. Teams will be started in increments based on where they were ranked.

An additional box drop has been added, with teams getting Box B at Charlottes pass before they go out onto the last trek leg. The swim will be taken out of the mountain bike leg with teams using boats to cross the river instead.

Tonight teams will probably get rained on but will be down at lower altitude. The Tintaldra mountain trek will be at higher altitude so teams were encouraged to take lots of warm gear on that leg.

The hall is a hive of activity again as teams pack their boxes to be handed in at 14:00 and get ready to get out racing again.
