Tangerine and Bull of Africa into CP6 at Falls Creek

Team Tangerine and the Bull of Africa arrived at CP6 at 13:33 and 13:38 respectively. Both teams were in good spirits. Tangerine had had a nap at CP3 before heading out onto the trek and were hoping to keep pushing on until the paddle and get a decent length sleep in the dark zone. While wet and cold, training in the Canberra winter had Tangerine well prepared and the team did not seem to be feeling the cold at all.

The Bull of Africa were feeling the cold and had stopped for a rest to warm up at Federation Hut and have a hot meal. They were a little concerned that they did not have any dry clothes and were contemplating not pushing too hard as they did not want to sleep at the kayak in wet clothes.

Tangerine had a quick transition, and were off in search of a hot coffee and a cooked meal.

The rain continues to fall and the forecast does not have it easing anytime soon.
